burningeden and I just spent most of our evening in a hot tub, with beer.

Also Shane, but he isn't nearly as entertaining as the booze. :-)

We are in North Carolina, in the Smoky Mountains, and it's beautiful. It's a little more, you know, nature than I normally deal with, but that's okay.

Hope everyone has a good weekend celebrating the 4th/Canada Day/whatever.

ooooOOOooh. Hot tub! Sounds like a delicious time. I'm saving my vacation for my trip to New Orleans for my birthday in two weeks, so while I'm KINDA jealous... I'm also gleefully anticipating my own slack-time.

Not an actual vacation, I just drove down to NC for four days to see Chelle and Shane.

I haven't taken an actual vacation since...well, since the last time I saw you. :-) I can only justify spending that much time on you and my boyfriend.

Chelle made me watch Brokeback Mountain. I never felt emotionally prepared to watch it, and I wasn't when I did. I cried while watching it, but it really hit me hours later while driving through VA and I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed.

I haven't seen it again since I went by myself last December to watch it in the theater, despite having it on my computer and the DVD in my nightstand drawer.

I just can't. :(
