"Hello, Joanne." (Yes, I have always called my mother by her first name. Even when I was a small child.)
"Where are you?"
Just then, from behind me, someone screams "MOTHERFUCKER!!!!"
"Oh. You're home."
Yes, in my home, we scream random epithets for no apparent reason. Or, for very little apparent reason. Jimmy stubbed his toe on the couch.
He informs me that he is grievously wounded.
I think he will survive with the toe intact.
