I am surrounded by Grey's Anatomy.

Lex, you ask, have you ever seen the show?

Nope.

Nope.

However, since my flist has had a collective apoplectic fit over what happened during recent episodes, I present:

Things I Know About GA (Thanks To My Flist)

* "Izzy done lost her mind." I know who Izzy is, only because KH plays her and I, uh, have naked thoughts about her. I don't know what Izzy has done, but whatever it is, every.single.person has remarked on it.

* Patrick Dempsey's character and 'Meredith' inspire hatred like I have never, ever seen for a couple. I can infer from this that they are the obvious OTP of the show, and as such, the masses are supposed to lurve them. However, you people clearly DO NOT. This could be because you are smarter than the masses.

* Patrick Dempsey's character also appears to be married to someone other than Meredith. This can only mean that his wife is portrayed as some grasping, power hungry bitch.

* There is a Xander-esque character that has the hots for someone else that doesn't return his feelings. There is angst over this.

* Everyone seems to be extraordinarily attractive.

It is also interesting to note that the GA love does not end at my flist.

One of my coworkers, upon being pulled over for speeding the other day, said to the nice officer, "But I have to get home! I'm going to miss the beginning of Grey's Anatomy!!!"

She got a ticket. Apparently, the cop didn't feel the love.

I really like Dempsey's Character(Derek)'s wife, Addison. She's hot, has problems but still is really nice despite everything. I, in fact, have many urges to write hot Meredith/Addison femmeslash. Kate Walsh does a FANTASTIC job playing her.

I'm with you. I've watched the show twice and that was for my mother.

Most of the characters are SO unlikeable. Pretty, but unlikeable.

LMAO. I totally would have done that. Maybe not for Grey's Anatomy, which I like, but not enough to speed for...but for something else I can absolutely see myself being all...but, officer!

I honestly haven't turned on a tv since the Sunday before last.

I just don't watch tv anymore. By the time I get home from work, I'm so exhausted that if I sat down on the couch, I would be out like a light.

Consequently, I haven't watched anything this season. I caught a few eps of Cold Case here and there, but that is it.

GA has no appeal for me. I'm not a fan of ER or any other type of medical show.

PD's wife on the show, I totally adore her. So very much. She's nice and sweet, maybe a little too nice and sweet, as she should really cut her husband into many tiny pieces and give them to Meredith in a box with a note that says, "He's all yours now, bitch."

And really, I watch because of Isaiah Washington. Because I love his character so very much. And I watch because there are an inordinate number of black people in charge on this show, which is probably because a black woman created the show or something, and you know I'm all about supporting my people...at least when they're doing shit that doesn't piss me off.
