They don't randomly show up at your place of employment just to chat for old times' sake. Fortunately, my co-workers informed him that I did not wish to see him and he would not be allowed back to my office.

Sorry to hear you've had ex trauma... My vacation has potential to be... entertaining in the same way. Every boy I've ever dated was met on this vacation... It's NOT rare to run into ALL of them at the same party. It can be remarkably odd.

With the breakup still fresh in my head, I hope that this year won't be too uncomfortable since we'll be living about 50 yards apart for 2 weeks. I know he's got to be hating my guts about now, but everyone that knows both of us still thinks I did the right thing... so... I'll take courage from my friends and try to enjoy my yearly 2 week long drinking bender. Hopefully he'll enjoy himself too and forget that the mere sight of me makes him cranky.

It's good to have friends that protect our tender little hearts, isn't it? Thank god for all of them. :-)

You needed to do what you did to keep yourself sane. He made his choices, and you couldn't live with them. That's not your fault. However, spending time in his presence has to be painful.

He was literally amazed the last time he spoke with me and I told him that I wanted nothing at all to do with him ever again. I reminded him that he LEFT ME, but he didn't seem to get it.
