I had to work today, but I called in because we got a rather spectacular ice storm. Seeing as I just got my car fixed from the last time it slid on some ice, I wasn't keen on trying the drive today.

Not only did I work for 3 hours last night, but I did a bit of work this morning too... Now I'm packing for a 2 week business trip to Philly, which will require 7 hours of travel time tonight... I will classify that as *work* too...

Meh, I had to work today too. My office hasn't closed for MLK Day in years.

There's 3 official holidays that we don't get off but we get to choose 3 "floater" days that we can take off instead.

His main occupation (since 1985) is life insurance. He's with Northwestern Mutual Life.

When he was preaching full-time (pre-1985) he *did* go to the office on Christmas Day! And every other day of the year if we weren't on vacation or he wasn't deathly ill.

This is days old...I know...oh well. I needed to pimp this Mike Rowe icon AND say that, being in banking, yep I got MLK off too.

If the wind blows in a south easterly direction...we get the day off. Such is the financial industry.
