it's 3:35 AM...

And my heat has died.

Argh. It is now a balmy 50 degrees in my apartment. I knew something was up when I woke up and all three cats were under the covers with me.

I have just now attempted a quick fix involving a towel and some duct tape; we'll see if that holds out until morning. I wouldn't mind it so much if we weren't going through a cold snap, but it's fucking cold in NJ.

The boiler repairman just left, after commending me on my quick-fix and actually fixing the problem.
