WEATHER IS ANXIOUS MAKING
Aug. 28th, 2011 12:40 amI don't think this storm is ever going to end and the worst parts haven't even hit us yet! So, to recap, we had an earthquake this week, and we're having a hurricane, and now we're under a tornado watch too.
NO LOVE, MOTHER NATURE. NO LOVE AT ALL!!!!!

Date: 2011-08-28 09:02 am (UTC)It's been very wearing. I was very anxious that I hadn't taken enough precautions, but so far, things haven't been too bad in my immediate vicinity. The worst was supposed to have hit us by now, according to earlier forecasts. And, we haven't lost power, which is pretty amazing, given how vulnerable my neighborhood is to outtages.
Interestingly, as I was writing this, the news gave a report from the police in my area, who said they've been "rescuing dumb people from floating cars all night" But, if you looked out at my street, there's nothing worse than some puddles by the curb.
We did take a break from the non-stop news coverage to re-watch the last ep of the last season of Dr. Who and the first ep of the new season. After all, even in a natural disaster, we have to have our priorities straight.
And I know exactly where my towel is.
{{{HUGS}}} This, too, shall pass. I hope you come through it with a minimum of discomfort.
