Motherfucker.

"I believe marriage is between a man and a woman, and I think we ought to codify that one way or another," Bush told reporters at a White House news conference. "And we've got lawyers looking at the best way to do that."

Okay, who gave Bush a copy of "10 Easy Steps To A Bigger Vocabulary"?

Codify? CODIFY???

"Yes, I am mindful that we're all sinners," the president said Wednesday when asked for his views on homosexuality. "And I caution those who may try to take the speck out of the neighbor's eye when they've got a log in their own."

Not everyone is a Christian, asshat.

Full text of the article is here.

Don't even get me started on the Catholic church. The Pontiff can take his pretty new discourse on the evils of homosexual marriage and shove it straight up his ass.

Why yes, I'm extraordinarily hostile this morning. Thank you for noticing. ;->

Good morning. I had this particular fit while driving home last night. Ironically, I was still in WeHo when the sound bites started. So I was surrounded by rainbow flags and billboards for tolerance and rights and I heard this crap.

"What's your view on homosexuality, Mr President?"

"Yes, I am mindful that we're all sinners. . ."

Wha--huh? W!t!f! does "sin" have to do with it?!

Not everyone is a Christian, asshat.

Thank you. And, once again, isn't it marvelous how hands-off and "less government" they are when it comes to healthcare and welfare but when it's about itimacy and privacy they're suddenly Big Freakin' Brother?

Hello? What the hell are you people afraid of?! If everyone involved is a consenting adult, who the fuck cares?!

. . .Preaching to the choir master here, ain't I? *G* Ah, but a good rant gets the blood going. Let's move someplace together, sweetie, and start an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We could create a religion of love. And ferrets. I'll even change my name to Dennis. What say?

Now that I'm trapped at home, I can actually devote time to lj. ;->

It's the assfucking. Does it every time. ::grin:: You are a sinner if you are not a white, straight, christian republican. Shit, now that I think about it, I don't know many non-sinners.

Hello? What the hell are you people afraid of?! If everyone involved is a consenting adult, who the fuck cares?!

I will never understand the religious right's propensity for peering into other people's bedrooms. If they paid more attention to what was going on in their OWN bedrooms, the Jessica Hahns of the world would have to get real jobs.

. . .Preaching to the choir master here, ain't I? *G*

There is that. ::grin::

I'm there. As long as we have broadband internet and cable tv, of course. :-)

Canada.

Is looking better and better.

Fucking asshat. I had this fit yesterday, too, and as a lapsed Hindu, I find his asshatness offensive on multiple levels.

Yep, not everyone is Christian and I think you should look at your own damn sin and stroke your log all you want, President Asshat, but leave the sinful queers alone.

Gah.

I think it all comes down to the fact that these people need to have more sex. If they were getting laid more often, they'd be so much less envious of everyone else's sex life.

I think I'll run for office on that platform. LOL!

I ranted about that article in my paper to Tom not ten minutes ago. First I read about how Bush was "taking personal responsibility" for his idiotic speech on the war in Iraq, then I turn the page and find this gem. I think I was nearly blind with rage by the time I was done. My hate for this man reaches new heights every day, and then is compounded by the morons who go around parroting his rhetoric like he's the fucking Messiah.

And yes, the irony of him quoting a bible verse on hypocrisy did not get by me. Can he just go away now? Please? I hate to wish ill on anyone, because, you know, *karma*, but isn't there a left-wing psycho in his future anywhere?
Fuming right along with you,

Personally I think marriage should be legal between cats and dogs but then I'm an evil heretical sinner living in the gutter.

*rolls eyes*

He becomes more and more of an idiot every day, but he's so damn frightening. Can we speed up the next election, please???

Why us?

It's amazing that every time he opens his mouth, something idiotic comes out of it.

Then again, maybe it's not so amazing. But it's pretty damn sad.

Bush is an asshat. Not that he had my vote, but he lost any chance of ever winning it because of this....

Holy shit! I truly didn't think it was possible for that ass to possibly get more ignorant/disgusting/and prejudiced but the bastard just keeps on proving me wrong. I honestly fear the lasting effect he will leave on not only the States, but here in Canada, which he has already been screwing over royaly (along with other countries) with trade, in between his BS about staying united with his northern 'cousins' of course. He had better not be re-elected.
