Things that need to be done today:

1. Wash comforter. I do not enjoy sleeping on/with cat vomit, so it must be done.

2. Clean out littermaid. Yes, even though the littermaid pretty much does its own thing, every so often, it must be cleaned out. You would think I would be grateful I only have to do it a fraction of the time, but no.

3. Clean ferret litter. I also have to change the floor in there, but that requires more ambition than I have right now. It smells rather ferrety in there. [livejournal.com profile] ragingpixie knows what I mean. At least she lives with another ferret person. My household consists of Ferret Person (me) and Non-Ferret Person (the man). So any time he gets a hint of ferretscent, he wrinkles his nose and makes The Face. He does adore the cats, however, and for that alone I suffer his existence in my home.

4. I must vacuum my entire apartment and wash the kitchen floor. Okay, at the very least, I have to vacuum. Really. I have to.

Prior to vacuuming, I have spotcleaned all the vomit spots on the carpet. There are many. This is due to Monty's stomach ailment. Fortunately, they are all area rugs, so when they get too gross, I roll them up and throw them out.

5. I also have to clean the shower. I wore my glasses in the shower last night when I shaved my legs (yes, I have to shower with my glasses on, I can't see my legs otherwise) and caught sight of extreme grossness that must be removed.

ETA: I have cleaned the shower. And, more importantly, the shower doors. It appears that they were in fact NOT frosted, as I had previously assumed. ::hides face in shame::

Looking over this list, it appears that I am overachieving in the domestic department.

Also, Sara (cousin, lives next door) called at ass o'clock this morning to inform me that yes, indeed, Stella does have fleas like I suspected last night, which means that I will be paranoid and itching for days. I have given the cats a preemptive strike of Frontline treatment. They are not happy. I have told them numerous times that it is Sara's fault, so hopefully Monty will pee on her leg the next time she shows her face.

Sara has arrived, mooched food out of my fridge, and is watching Jawbreakers on USA. Also, the cats are all three sitting on/near her. Clearly, their priorities are misplaced.

Back to the grindstone.
