Am I crazy for thinking of getting a job at Pottery Barn just for the employee discount?

Because I *covet* some of this furniture.

I don't think so. I LOVE Pottery Barn's stuff. I scored one of their mirrors for $30 at Christmas Tree Shops. I was so excited, the other customers must have thought I'd gone off my meds or something.

Of course it's ridiculous to work for a company just for the employee discount. Never mind the fact that I worked for Waldenbooks (back in the dark ages when they were still The Walden Book Company) for pretty much the same reason. *grin*

Seriously, though, I think that if the employee discount is good enough and the furniture is good enough, working there at least for a while is NOT such a bad idea. And who knows, you mind find that you really like the actual *job* as well as the discount!

I worked at Best Buy for a year and a half, and the discount was sweet. However, not worth it to go back, but that's because Best Buy sucks for their employees. And most of their customers, really. :-P
