In stark contrast to the giant downer I've been for the past two months, here are some happy things.


1. Due to teh intarweb, I have made some of the best friends quite literally in the entire world.

andramichelle, for example, in addition to lovely cards and notes, sent me this, which is hanging in front of me as I type.



It must run in the family, because goofytech sent some love too. :-)

2. My nephew is the cutest baby ever. Until the next one is born. Then he'll have to be one of the two cutest babies ever.



3. I bought new furniture, because every time I looked at my old sofa, I saw Jimmy sitting there watching tv. This was not good for my mental well-being, so new couch and loveseat.



Ignore the pillows with loud geometric patterns. Those will be covered very soon. Also ignore the disgusting mess. Cleaning has not been a priority in quite a while.

4. Cats always make people happy.




I owe email to everyone, most notably Steph, Lynn and OMG Tara, who is the best ego boost ever.

I do so all the time. And then I take pictures.

In fact, I have pictures of him eyeing the camera with a look that says, "Aunt Lex, if you take one more picture of me, I will throw the biggest tantrum in the history of babies."
