She rose out of the pool, water cascading down her shoulders, tracing down her spine, caressing the ripe curves of her backside. Suddenly, his mouth was drier than the Sahara itself.

/Allah, she is beautiful,/ he thought, awe filling him. He would have never imagined Evelyn Carnahan O'Connell hiding that body beneath her men's pants and modest dresses.

She wasn't a young girl to shy away from a man's admiration. She was a woman, and she was tired of wanting him, needing him. "Ardeth," she murmured, "Don't make me beg."

He was drawn to her by a power greater than his will, and with an exhaled breath, he surrendered. "This is madness," he whispered as his arms came up to hold her to his chest.

Her body was wet, and the moisture was absorbed quickly by his robes.

"Folie a deux. Do you know what that means, Ardeth?"

He shook his head, and she traced the tattoos on his cheeks and forehead, her fingertips making love to his face. "A madness shared by two."

Oh my God, not only are you writing Mummy fic, you're writing Ardeth fic! I fall at your feet in worship and beg you to post this soon. I once went on a search for exactly this sort of fic after watching The Mummy Returns twice in as many days, and found very little...and most of it involving Ardeth and OCs that were little more than thinly veiled Mary Sues.

You have no idea how happy I am that you're writing this, seriously.
