L: I have a cold. What do you want?
J: Did you go to work today?
L: No, I have a fever and I can barely talk or hear.
J: Ahhhh-lexxxx-is, they are going to fire you from that job.
L: I'm sure they are. Did you want something?
J: Can you take off from work next week to take me to the doctors?
L: What happened to me being fired from my job?
J: This is different. I'm your mother. They'll understand.
I wonder if you gain the ability to create your own logic like that after giving birth, or if some people are just born with this ability.
*sneeze*

My mother is Lithuanian. Full blooded, too, which is pretty rare for someone not born in the old country (as opposed to the new country, which is where we are at the moment).
