Reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

::grin::

I have learned the following things in the past two weeks:

1. Verizon cell phones issued in New Jersey work in the Bahamas. So if you think you're safe from someone just because they're in Nassau? You're really not.

2. No matter where he is, Don will always be a pain in my ass. It doesn't matter if he's across the hall from me or on a cruise ship in the middle of the Atlantic. He will continue to bite my ass until the day I die.

3. It never gets any easier to see someone you care about watch a loved one die slowly from cancer.

4. Unrequited love sucks. On either end.

5. I am a heinously scary bitch when the vending machine runs out of diet dr. pepper.

6. I miss you people like mad when I'm not here.

and

7. The pollen count here, according to weather.com, is 10.3 out of a scale of 0 to 12. This could explain why I am so congested I can barely speak or hear.
