Thanks for the reassurance that you still love some Southerners (of course you did pick four of us who voted for Kerry ) My parents and alot of my friends also voted Democratic - sigh. What really bothers me is that a lot of people say you can't be a Christian and vote Democratic - that is plain wrong - I am a Christian and I try to live by those values and I go to church and my whole family voted for Kerry. And it bothers me that those people think they can judge me on my values by how I vote!! Sorry for ranting in your journal!

Thank you! He is a perfect example and he's done so much with Habitat for Humanity etc, that he can be proud of since he was President too.

I don't understand what religion has to do with politics, y'know? Like if there were a candidate who was a practioner of some obscure religion whose platform represented everything that you wanted, you (not you personally, you in the broadest sense of the term) couldn't vote for him because he wasn't Christian?

WTFever.

I'm not Christian. By and large, I'm not a fan of any religion. But this whole voting based on religious affiliation makes no sense!
